wineos

Dear friends,

Robbie's parents came to visit this weekend. They made me miss my dad, so I'm heading home this upcoming weekend!

They were so wonderful to us. They treated us to wine tasting all day long on Sunday and took us to breakfast on Monday morning.

Here's a waaay overexposed shot of the whole group at Justin Winery.

We made an impromptu stop a couple wineries later at Peachy Canyon. The Moens bought me a bottle of white wine that was delicious. I'll have to open it on a special occasion!

Robbie's buddy Sam was so wonderful and drove us from winery to winery.

This is at Denner, which was overpriced but gorgeous:

At a tiny little winery called Tolo:

L'Aventure had the COOLEST wine glasses. They didn't tip over!!

The Moens are always so fun to hang out with. I'm looking forward to heading home this weekend!

hearts & frills

My dear friends,

Robbie and I celebrated Valentines Day a little late this year. We spent Monday, the actual day of Valentines, studying in the library. We're such dedicated students.

Since we've been working so hard, trying to finish our last quarters of college strong, I decided to cook a nice dinner for Robbie.

Here's a picture of the card I made for him:

Since I'm a broke college student, I spent a total of $3 on tissue paper to make decorations. I looved Jorden Ferney's frilly streamers, so I made some of my own:

I also cut out a ton of hearts, which are so essential for vday.

For dinner, I made baked penne with chicken and sun-dried tomatoes, a recipe I found from Martha Stewart. It turned out delicious.

It was a simple and wonderful valentines day. I was lucky to have such a great valentine.

xoxo!

inspired

Dear friends,

I'm so incredibly lucky to have such inspiring friends.

Today, my very good friend, Carizza, was recognized for her incredible event planning and overall awesome life skills by In The Now, a wedding and event planning company she interns for. This little lady has done so much in her 21 years of existence and I can't help but wish I could be just like her.

Here are a couple of reasons why Carizza is better than the rest of us:

- She's charming. Her friendly demeanors makes you want to ask her out for coffee the first time you meet her.
- She's organized, punctual and reliable, thanks to her handy-dandy moleskin planner. Those little things are our bibles.
- She's creative beyond belief. She's always involved in something- let me restate that. She's always IN CHARGE of something (the girl's a natural-born leader) that is different and inspiring.
- The girl's got style. And her signature color is yellow. Bonus points all around.
- She's a trendsetter. Everything she does is cool.

Carizza, my lovely, you rock.

xo!

football, finally

My lovelies,

Superbowl Sunday last week was tons of fun. Robbie bought a ton of beer and lots of friends stopped by to say hi throughout the game.

A couple of photos I wanted to post:

It was a lovely day!

Since then, I've been obsessed with watching Dorm Life, a show that a couple of UCLA students put together a few years ago. My roommate, Lindsey, showed it to me and I've been hooked ever since!

Some other new obsessions:

Handstamped jewelry (I'm thinking of getting into jewelry making...)

FRENCH TOAST!!!! (A special someone may get this for breakfast on Valentines day!)

Hope everyone's Valentines day is fabulous!

no pigs for rent

Dear friends,

Firestones is the go-to BBQ joint in San Luis Obispo. Its tri-tip, salads and french fries are amazingly delicious.

HOWEVER, today Robbie and I went to Mo's (instead of Taco Roco for Taco Tuesday- sad, but true), the lonely and forgotten BBQ place a block away from Firestones.

It was equally delicious.

It's pig themed and I loved this sign:

So weird.

Hope you all had a wonderful Tuesday!

p.s. Here are a couple of cool things I've been wanting to share with you:

My friend, Rachel Egan, is doing public relations work for the suicide prevention Love Out Loud campaign. Check it out!

My wonderful sister, Page, sent me this party hosting blog. You may get some good superbowl party ideas!

The lovely and creative Carizza Sioco sent me a link to these adorable anthropology placemats. How elegant.

Fashionista Amanda Garcia started a fashion blog not too long ago. She makes the cutest jewelry and has the BEST taste in clothes.

Washington softball stud, Morgan Stuart, wrote me a long, lovely letter. Go Huskies!!
